With more than 30 years’ experience in urology, Mr Jeremy Ockrim has dedicated his career to the diagnosis and treatment of complex female, functional and reconstructive urological conditions. He is one of the lead Consultant Urological Surgeons in the Female, Functional and Reconstructive Urology service at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London (UCL), where he combines specialist clinical practice with teaching and research.
Mr Ockrim is widely recognised for his expertise in urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary fistulae, mesh complications and complex reconstructive surgery. He was among the first surgeons in the UK to pioneer non-mesh surgical techniques for the treatment of urinary incontinence and prolapse and continues to receive referrals from across the UK and internationally for patients requiring highly specialised care.
His clinical practice spans the full spectrum of female and male urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, bladder pain syndrome, pelvic floor disorders, urinary fistulae, urethral reconstruction, bladder reconstruction and complex mesh complications. Wherever possible, he considers conservative and minimally invasive treatments before recommending surgery, ensuring every patient receives the most appropriate care for their individual circumstances.
Mr Ockrim believes that many bladder and pelvic floor conditions affect far more than physical health. They can have a significant impact on confidence, work, relationships and everyday life. He takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms, concerns and priorities, providing clear explanations and evidence-based recommendations so patients can make informed decisions about their treatment.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Ockrim is an active researcher, teacher and international lecturer. He has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with over 2,000 academic citations, and continues to contribute to advances in reconstructive urology, urinary incontinence and lower urinary tract dysfunction. He is also an active member of leading British, European and American urological organisations.

Neuro-Urology
Bladder problems caused by neurological conditions, where the nerve signalling between brain, spinal cord and bladder is disrupted. Care is usually shared across neurology and urology.

What symptoms might I have?

- Leaking urine when you cough, sneeze, laugh or exercise
- A sudden, urgent need to pass urine that you can’t defer

Mr Jeremy Ockrim is one of nine consultant urological surgeons at London Urology Specialists, a consultant-led private practice providing specialist urological care across Central London. The practice is built around personalised, evidence-based care, combining clinical expertise with clear communication and a collaborative approach to patient management.
Together, the consultants provide comprehensive care across five specialist clinics: Urological Cancer, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Stone Disease and Adolescent Urology. If your symptoms require expertise outside Mr Ockrim’s specialist practice, you can be referred seamlessly to an appropriate colleague within London Urology Specialists, ensuring continuity of care without the need to seek treatment elsewhere.
The principal consulting rooms are at 18 Devonshire Street, on The Harley Street Clinic campus. Consultants also hold practising privileges at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital, Welbeck Hospital, Cleveland Clinic London and the Chelsea Outpatient Centre, offering patients a choice of convenient locations across London.

Before you book
Do I need a referral from my GP?
A referral is not required to book a private consultation, and you are welcome to contact us directly. If you have any relevant test results, imaging or clinic letters, please share them with your consultant’s secretary before your appointment where possible.
If you are using private medical insurance, please check your policy beforehand, as your insurer may require a letter from a GP or another healthcare professional to authorise your consultation.

How much does a self-pay consultation cost?
For self-pay patients, a new patient consultation is £340 and a
follow-up consultation is £230. If any additional diagnostic
tests or procedures are recommended, we will provide you with the
relevant costs in advance. These services will be invoiced separately
by the hospital or healthcare provider carrying out the test or
procedure and are not included in the consultation fee.
When are clinics held?
Every Wednesday and Thursday, alternating between 18 Devonshire
Street and St John & St Elizabeth Hospital. You can choose
between a face-to-face or a remote consultation.
Can I be seen on the NHS?
Mr Ockrim is Lead Consultant in the female, functional and reconstructive
urology service at University College London Hospitals. NHS care
requires a referral through the usual NHS pathway — speak to your
GP.
